Nadine Chabarekh

Lebanese

Nadine Chabarekh is an abstract painter known for richly textured, layered compositions that explore the emotive power of natural landscapes. With a background in Biology, her practice is shaped by a distinctive fusion of scientific precision and artistic intuition. A perfectionist by nature, she finds abstraction to be a liberating medium, one that allows her to embrace spontaneity, presence, and the unpredictable beauty of fluid paint. Her work serves as a deeply personal expression of memory and inner landscape, transforming the spaces it inhabits into places of contemplation and quiet reverence.

My work begins where observation meets feeling. I have always been drawn to the natural world, the sea above all — its rhythms, its silence, its capacity to hold emotion. Every glimmer of light on water, every shift in tide, stirs something I have no choice but to translate onto canvas. I work with fluid paint, allowing it to move freely, a dialogue between surrender and direction. I guide it gently, letting intuition lead while honouring the behaviour of the materials. What emerges is always a surprise: a story frozen in motion, yet forever alive.
