Iacovos Loizou

Iacovos Loizou is a Nicosia-based Cypriot artist, researcher, and urban planner working across the hybrid terrain of contemporary art and urban design. His practice explores imaginative modes of expression in which animals and monsters become vehicles for social commentary and subtle humour.

Influenced by the raw immediacy of children's drawings, he approaches art as a playful, intuitive, and constantly evolving process. Through his work, Iacovos invites viewers to question conventions, reconnect with their inner childhood, and rediscover a sense of freedom and curiosity. He has exhibited internationally, presenting his work in Cyprus, Poland, Greece, the Netherlands, and Japan.
