Anna Mari (Unusualmentor)

Born in Florence and trained as an architect, Anna Mari works at the crossroads of art, design, and architecture. Since the 1980s she has created immersive "Total Environments" and exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, while developing architectural and site-specific projects across Europe and the US.

At the heart of her practice is glass-crafted in Murano through a direct encounter with fire. For her, it is a living material of transformation: fragile yet powerful, shaped by light, memory, and movement.

Her work moves between past and future, matter and imagination, where form becomes experience and light reveals what is unseen.
